Andrew J. Miles – Financial Analyst

Andrew is a sixth-generation hay and cattle farmer raised in Fort Rock, Oregon. Early on, he learned the value of hard work and integrity on his family’s farm. At age 16, he purchased his own acreage to custom farm throughout high school and college.

Involvement in his high school FFA chapter was an integral part of cultivating Andrew’s passion for agricultural education and leadership development. After earning his State FFA Degree and competing in several Career Development Events at the state and national level, he chose to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture Business Management at Oregon State University. During his time at OSU, Andrew became connected to the university community and held leadership positions in clubs such as Young Cattlemen’s, Crop Science, and Cru. In 2015, he was selected to join a team of ambassadors for the College of Agricultural Sciences and a small cohort for a year-long, intensive Leadership Academy. During his senior year, Andrew completed an internship in New Zealand where he learned different farming and agricultural business practices. Throughout college, he continued to volunteer his time working with high school students by coaching wrestling and training various FFA Career Development Event teams. The culmination of Andrew’s love for the agricultural industry and desire to encourage and teach others led him to pursue a Master’s Degree in Agricultural Education at Oregon State University.

Faced with a difficult decision to be a farmer, a teacher, or a loan officer, Andrew found a great fit encompassing his strengths and passions at Harvest Capital. He looks forward to connecting and creating positive experiences for farmers and ranchers.
