Michelle M. PletcherOffice Manager

Michelle grew up in Keizer, Oregon before moving to Lake Oswego for high school. After graduating high school Michelle held her first office assistant position for a local realty company. This was also the summer where she began dating her now husband, Jacob, a hop farmer from Woodburn/St. Paul. That relationship would lead to Michelle’s introduction and immersion into the world of agriculture and farming life. When that summer ended Michelle left to attend the University of Oregon in Eugene originally interested in a teaching or journalism degree. While at the university Michelle worked as a Creative Services Designer for the school newspaper, the Oregon Daily Emerald. After two years Michelle transferred to Portland State University to pursue her interest in Social Science and to be closer to home (the heart of the Willamette Valley). Throughout her schooling Michelle worked various retail and customer service jobs. In June of 2013 Michelle graduated Summa Cum Laude from Portland State University having earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science with minors in Spanish and Psychology.

Shortly after graduation Michelle and Jacob wed at a small chapel in Canby, Oregon, unaware this was only blocks away from Harvest Capital Company’s office. Months later, knowing that she loved helping others and serving the community in some format, Michelle looked for full-time positions servicing offices. In October 2013 she was presented with the opportunity to meet the Harvest Capital Company staff. Michelle’s involvement with the Davidson/Pletcher hop farms and nursery immediately connected her with Harvest Capital’s Oregon agriculture niche. She has since found her place in the company – managing the office and reception duties, providing administrative support to all of the staff, and supervising customer relationships and the building’s tenants. Michelle also assists many of the local and state FFA organizations on the company’s behalf.
